SOCIAL EVENTS and tours

SAFE RURAL DRIVING PRESENTATIONS

OUR YOUNG LEADERS go INTO THE CLASSROOM WITH OUR FARM BUREAU MANAGER TO TALK ABOUT SAFE RURAL DRIVING WITH DRIVER’S EDUCATION STUDENTS AT ILLINI WEST HIGH SCHOOL.
Agri-Quiz Bowl
Trivia contest with ag questions that are sure to stump you a few times!  This annual competition is held during Ag Day at the Illinois State Fair in August.
Discussion Meet
Participants are given discussion questions in this timed event and are judged on their involvement in the discussion.  The winner at the district level advances to compete in the state competition at the IFB Annual Meeting in Chicago.

Down on the Farm
Annual spring event sponsored by our Young Leaders and Women’s Committee that brings over 250 first grade students together to learn about agriculture and farming!
Quincy Gems Outing
Summer family outing for our Young Leaders at a Quincy GEMS baseball game - what a great way to network with other young farmers in our area!
Ag Industry Tour
This annual trip is coordinated by Illinois Farm Bureau and is a great opportunity for Young Leaders to learn how farming is different throughout the country.
